O2 Colorguard - Our story
In 2003, The O Foundation for the Arts formed a second color guard to be a sister unit of Onyx. The guard was known as Onyx A/Open from 2003-2008. During this time, Onyx A/Open earned finalist status in both the WGI Independent A & Open classes nearly every year.

Redefining itself, in 2009 the guard's name was changed to O2. Paving their own road, O2 began to cultivate their own identity and in 2009, O2 won the Bronze Medal in the WGI Independent A Class and was promoted to Open Class. In 2010, O2 won the WGI Open Class Gold Medal and was a Semi-Finalist in Independent World Class in 2011.
O2 is a co-ed color guard with members from all over the Midwest. You can be a part of O2's next chapter.
